Twelve (12) credit hours in ethnic diversity subject matter fields outside of the COE
Courses can be taken from those offered by various departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. / This requirement can be satisfied in several different ways with the consent of the advisor. For example, all 12 credits may be taken on one ethnic group such as African Americans or Latino Americans. Secondly, the student may distribute the courses among several different ethnic groups, such as Native Americans, Latino Americans, and Asian Americans. Thirdly, the student may combine courses that deal with issues of race and ethnicity in general with courses that focus on specific ethnic groups.Sample courses include:
