Day 02-COLOMBO / SIGIRIYA
After breakfast, leave for Sigiriya
SIGIRIYA - a massive monolith of red stone rises 600 feet from the green scrubjungle to accentuate the lucid blue of the sky. How overpowering, then, this rockfortress of Sigiriya must have been when a palace crowned it 15 centuries ago. Atthe brief height of its glory, a flowering of only 18 years in the late 5th Century, itwas one of the loveliest royal cities that ever graced the earth. And today, it isperhaps the single most remarkable memory for visitors to Sri Lanka.Beautiful bare breastedmaidens still smile from incredible fresco paintings. Surrounding the footof the rock extending for several hundred meters, are Asia's oldest surviving landscapegardens, incorporating lovely ponds around Sigiriya's plinth of fallen boulders

Day 03-SIGIRIYA / TRINCOMALEE
After breakfast, leave for Trincomalle
Trincomalee, one of the largest deep water harbours in the world, is located on the north-east part of Sri Lanka. Trincomalee has served Sri Lanka as an important seaport since the times of ancient days. On the Swami Rock stands one of the oldest Hindu temples in Sri Lanka. In Second World War, Trinco was the headquarters of Allied South-East Asia Command.

After breakfast, leave for Kandy

The temple has a constant flow of worshippers and visitors in awe of thespectacular golden architecture and energetic Kandyan drummers who signal the start andfinish of the daily pujas.
