Since 1951, Action Hampshire has been supporting the not-for-profit sector to deliver great services to local people and communities; speak up for the changes they would like to see; and shape the future of where they live and work.
Action Hampshire is proud to host The School for Social Entrepreneurs Hampshire, bringing together people who want to make a difference through social enterprise. We support new and aspiring social entrepreneurs, teaching the practical skills needed to run successful businesses and connecting them through networks, events and information sharing.
November 2016 saw the launch of our new enterprise project, Building Better Opportunities, Inspiring Enterprise.
The programme focuses on supporting long term unemployed, lone parents, people with disabilities, older workers and people in minority groups into self-employment through enterprise training.
We have long been championing social enterprise as a way of individuals and communities reaching their potential; and being able to inspire and empower new and aspiring social entrepreneurs is something we are passionate about.
The programme ends in December 2018, and we are looking for additional resource for the period to December 2018 in two key areas.
WORK SPECIFICATION 1
Building Better Opportunities, BBO Inspiring Enterprise Programme, funded by the European Social Fund (ESF)
Project Management
Services to include:
- Management of the BBO Inspiring Enterprise Programme on behalf of Action Hampshire.
- Achieve 150 client target on the programme by 31st December 2018 working with the nominated Action Hampshire project delivery team to deliver the target.
- Project manage agreed project milestones; engage and manage stakeholder relationships; deliver progress reporting; input to and monthly review of budget.
- Work closely with the WSX Enterprise main partner sponsor and attend key meetings.
- Ensure client progress is tracked and recorded as per Big Lottery and ESF process and compliance requirements.
- Business Development: generate leads and develop stakeholder relationships for prospective participants to join the Programme; attend meetings and events, build client stakeholder relationships.
- Project manage events and workshop delivery schedule.
- Where necessary, contribute to the tailoring of training packages to meet the various needs of the participant groups.
- Facilitate Enterprise Essentials workshops as necessary.
- Approve promotional and support collateral.
- Estimated at 3-4 days per week to 31 December 2018.
WORK SPECIFICATION 2
Enterprise Specialist
Services to include:
- Business Development: generate leads and develop stakeholder relationships for prospective participants to join the programme; build client stakeholder relationships.
- Project manage events.
- Facilitate Enterprise Essentials workshops for clients.
- Where necessary, contribute to the tailoring of training packages to meet the various needs of the participant groups.
- Client 1:1 mentoring.
- Ensure client progress is tracked and recorded as per Big Lottery and ESF requirements.
- PR and Marketing.
- Develop promotional and support collateral.
- Perform other duties and tasks, consistent with skill and expertise in non-routine circumstances.
- Attend progress meetings with Action Hampshire team.
- 3 days per week to 31 December 2018.

Tenders must be received by 5pm on Friday 2 February 2018.
Tenders will be evaluated based on technical detail in the bid, the expertise of contractors (CVs for all contractors should be included in the tender), and pricing (the daily rates of the contractors should be shown in the tender).
The successful tender will be notified by Wednesday 7th February.
