Subject: Region 10 Histocompatibility Representative Election

I would like to thank A. Bradley Eisenbrey, MD, for representing our region on the OPTN/UNOS Histocompatability Committee for four consecutive terms (2005-2013). At this time his fourth term will end on June 30, 2013 and we need to elect a new representative to serve in this position.

All Region 10 histocompatibility typing personnel are eligible to serve as the regional representative to the committee. I would encourage you to nominate either yourself or one of your associates to serve in this important regional position. As a reference, attached is a list of regional laboratory directors.

I urge each laboratory to participate in this process by returning the attached ballot by November 23, 2012. Once the nomination process has closed, an election ballot will be distributed to the primary and alternate UNOS representative of each Region 10 independent laboratory. One vote per laboratory will be counted in the election.
