Alabama Nurses Foundation Scholarship Application

Application Deadline and Award
The Alabama Nurses Foundation will award two academic scholarships to recipients who demonstrate scholarship, commitment, and potential for leadership in the practice of Nursing. The amount will be $2000. Deadline to receive all required materials will be March 1, 2018 for an award to be given by April 17, 2018 at the Elizabeth Morris Clinical Education Sessions – FACES’18.
Eligibility
It is available to any current licensed Alabama nurse enrolled in higher education leading to a degree in the field of nursing. The candidate must be an Alabama resident currently enrolled or accepted into an Alabama School of Nursing and have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 scale.
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic performance, nursing leadership in either/or academic setting or community, and professional activities
Required material to be submitted by March 1, 2018
- Scholarship application form
- Copy of official transcript
- Two completed applicant Recommendation Forms from two current faculty members (previous faculty members if not currently enrolled in an academic program). Use the provided form
- Picture (head shot) which will be published in the Alabama Nurse (if awarded).
- Incomplete applications will not be considered
Attestation Statement
