Build a HAZMAT Reference Database that will provide current and future customers with information covering the Hazardous substances contained in electronic components, as specified by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union in RoHS Directive. This database will be used in i2 Hazardous Materials Management module in SRM solution.

Package Enhancement (9 months)

Enhance three major sections of the package information in the Electronics Database (ED): Introducing dimensional properties for the packages; Normalizing the existing package data and Introducing new package codes, that are normalized, standardized and generated by i2. This database is used to deploy the FFF (Form, Fit & Functional) alternates functionality in SRM solution.

Implementation of a schema to take care of the Part level capture of passives and EMD content without much increase in the database size. This database is used in the Reuse and Product Sourcing module of SRM solution.

·  Completed the project within 15 months against 24 months schedule, due to out-of-box ideas like Preference Management and stage concepts.

·  Controlled the part count growth (the database size as well) under 4 million using preference management which would otherwise have resulted in 25 million parts

Alternate Component Expert (1 year)

Alternate Component Expert (ACE) Rules for Electronics Database (ED) is a special functionality of ED designed to select Alternate Parts. This functionality of ED is used in Life Cycle Module of SRM solution to find the alternate parts for the DISCONTINUED parts. The function dynamically compares specification data within pre-specified limits across thousands of parts in the database to return alternates meeting the specification criteria.

·  Handled project from initiation, requirements specification to final delivery.

·  Prepared templates for rules creation for all part types in ED and handled updates configuration and testing of rules.

Key Accomplishments:

·  Successfully created a Process and documented this as per ISO Standard requirements, for ongoing quarterly loading of ACE Rules in ED.
