A competition for the best showpieces, which will be awarded the prizes “Danubius Gastro 2013”, is taking place at the trade show Danubius, Gastro, Exposhop, Gastropak,
The subject of these Conditions is arrangement of the competition rules, by which the entitled producer/ expositor can obtain the above mentioned award.
I. Competition advertiser

II. General principles
a) You can register for the competition with showpieces made by foreign or domestic producers or their sales representatives who are presenting at the trade show as expositors.
b) Registered showpieces must fulfill the General conditions for tradeshow participation, goods nomenclature of the tradeshow, and they must be presented at the tradeshow.
c) Showpieces will be accepted for the competition on the basis of written applications which are a part of the ordering forms and technical documentation sent by the presenter within a required period. Under technical documentation we understand e.g. a catalogue, leaflet, technical description, drawings, schemes, photographs of the products, certificates, awards from similar competitions, references, attestations, etc., or other documentation proving quality of the showpiece.
The documentation must contain:
For the area of food stuff and beverages
· Description of the product (detailed characterization, company norm is also possible)
· Technology used (concise description)
· Implemented systems to keep continuous production quality (HACCP, ISO, and others)
· In case the products are used for special nutritious purposes or they are labeled with nutritious or medicinal declarations, it is necessary to provide a prove document of its correctness.
· Comparison of the registered product with other products produced in the world
· By quality and selected wines it is necessary to enclose their placement within the Ustredny kontrolny a skusobny ustav polnohospodarsky v Bratislave (Central checking and trial agricultural institute in Bratislava).
· When bigger packages, two pieces of each competing product in their original packaging
· When smaller packages up to 250g/ml, 7-8 pieces from each competing product in their original packaging
Showpieces with a longer expiration period are to be delivered together with the application. Food stuffs with a shorter expiration period are to be delivered at least one day before the meeting of the evaluation commission.
For technically oriented showpieces
· Declaration on the state of industrial rights, patents, copyright certificates, industrial and utility patterns, improvement suggestions, SN or foreign patents used, or licenses used by the production of the registered showpiece
· Result of the evaluation done by the Statna skusobna (Slovak trial office) or another authorized institution in the Slovak Republic or abroad, certificate of quality
· Result of the examinations done by the producer (for example in a trial run, etc.), including the ecological-toxicological evaluation and the confirmation of medical harmlessness of the product from a relevant authorized institution
· Declaration, when the product was or will be launched or produced in Slovakia
· Two pieces of each competing product in their original packaging
· Confirmation of those qualities of the product, which are stressed as extraordinary, provided by relevant independent specialized work places
This duty is also relevant to collections of products where individual products from a collection are also sold separately.
d) In extraordinary cases, the technical commission reserves the right to include in the competition a presented showpiece without a former application one day before the opening of the tradeshow.
e) Applications must be completed in all pre-printed sections and ordinarily confirmed by a signature and a stamp of a statutory representative. For each product an individual application must be completed.
f) The deadline for applications is December 14th, 2012. Registered samples of showpieces must be delivered by January 14th, 2013 to Incheba, a.s., representatives. Technical and bigger showpieces which are not possible to be delivered in advance must be installed in the exposition of the expositor to be additionally evaluated by the commission 24 hours before the opening of the exhibition.
g) Registered showpieces will not be evaluated if:
· They are not presented at the exhibition from any reason
· The applicant provides a not fully completed application
· The applicant does not enclose a prescribed documentation in the application
III. EVALUATION OF THE SHOWPIECES REGISTERED IN THE COMPETITION
a) The evaluation of the registered showpieces in the competition will be done by a Specialized commission – jury, consisted of selected specialists nominated by the general director of Incheba, a.s.
b) By the registered showpieces the following will be evaluated:
· General proved quality
· Medical harmlessness
· Sensual qualities (food stuff and beverages)
· Packaging, its functionality and appropriateness (food stuff and beverages)
· Labeling (food stuff and beverages)
· Originality (own research, development, patent, etc.)
· Parameters of the product or technologies
· Suitability of materials used
· Reliability when processing or using
· Innovations from the view of conception, construction, technology, etc.
· Perfection in its category
· Comparability with the best world products
· Industrial design
c) The showpieces are evaluated in accordance with the goods nomenclature in 40 specialized groups.
IV. EVALUATION MECHANISM
a) Evaluations of the Specialized commission are non-public.
b) Recommendations of the Specialized commission are approved by the general director of Incheba, a.s.
c) It is not possible to appeal against the decision of the commission.
V. ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE RESULTS
a) The prizes and relevant diplomas will be awarded by the general director of Incheba, a.s., and the president of the Specialized commission at the festive announcement of the competition results during the exhibition.
b) Incheba, a.s., will provide publicizing of the competition results in public means of information.
c) The expositor is obliged to label the awarded showpiece immediately after being awarded the prize. The way and form will be determined by the competition advertiser.
d) The awarded prize may be used by propagation of the awarded product in the frame of business customs. The visual of the prize can be linked with the exhibition logo.
VI. FINAL PROVISIONS
a) Producer/ Expositor participating in the competition expresses his/her implicit and unconditional approval with the content of these conditions.
b) The advertiser of the competition reserves the right to withdraw the prize in case any condition of the competition, mentioned in the application or conditions, was not fulfilled. This can be done by the way the award was announced (by publicizing).
c) The advertiser of the competition reserves the right to react on any technical, organizational, or other circumstances, which can lead to any changes in terms or running of the competition. All participants are guaranteed to be informed in time.
d) The advertiser of the competition reserves the right to cancel, adjourn, postpone, or terminate the competition without announcing the awarded expositor or delivering the prize.
e) Producers/ Expositors participating in the competition agree with propagation of their personalities for needs of the advertiser without any restrictions, in the scope determined by valid and effective legal directions.
f) The conditions of the competition are valid until they are withdrawn.
g) The conditions of the competition and application forms are issued by Incheba, a.s., who is the advertiser of the competition.
