JOB DESCRIPTION – EXAMSASSISTANT
JOB PURPOSE
To provide operational and administrative support within the Examinations Department
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide excellent customer service to all clients of the department
Assist with the timely and accurate recording of examinations data.
Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of examinations related regulations. Use that knowledge to assist other staff members and students.
Assist with the timely and accurate entry of students for examinations.
Assist in the organisation and execution of examinations and invigilation.
Act as an examination Invigilator/Senior Invigilator when required.
Assist with the administration and organisation of ‘on-line’ examinations and tests. Liaise with Academic Staff, the Library; Networkand Students Services departments in this activity.
Contribute towards the overall effectiveness of the department.
Assist in compliance with internal and external data quality controls and audit regulations.
Assist with the secure and proper usage of the College’s data in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other regulatory requirements and recommendations.
Carry out any other duties which are reasonable and appropriate to the post

GENERAL
- Implement the College’s current Quality Assurance systems.
- Participate in staff training, development and appraisal systems to enhance personal performance and organisational effectiveness.
- Adherence to College policy on Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety.
- Team participation: all members of teams are required to contribute to ensure team responsibilities are discharged as effectively as possible.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the customers
- Any other duties appropriate to nature and grade of post.
