Setting up a PB Wiki in the Communities space for each class
On the following pages there is content for new pages that you should create on the course wiki for each class.
- Login to communities.schoolnet.org.za
- Add a wiki
- Go to page 2 of this document and copy the text from this page into the Home Page of the wiki
- Create a new page
- Go to the next page of this document and copy the new page title. Then copy the new page content
- Continue steps 4 and 5 until all new pages have been created

Welcome to the Essentials Course Wiki
A wiki is a "type of website that allows the visitors themselves to easily add, remove, and otherwise edit and change some available content… This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for collaborative authoring." (Wikipedia, 2006)
We use this wiki during the Pedagogical Practicesdiscussions to share ideas and strategies for teaching in a learner-centred, project-based classroom.
Click on the links in the left navigation pane of the online course to access directions for completing each Pedagogical Practices discussion.
