Mr. Gold joined the Company in March 2000 as Executive Vice President, Administration and Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. Jumbo Sports filed a voluntary Chapter 11 Petition under the Federal bankruptcy laws on January1, 1999. Mr. Gold previously served as Executive Vice President of Stores and Operations for L. Luria and Son, a specialty retailer, from 1996 to 1998. L. Luria and Son filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code on August13,1997. Prior to that he served as Chief Financial Officer of The Flax Art and Design Company, Inc. and Vice Chairman/Chief Operating Officer of Fisher Big Wheel.
