First year engineering unit ENB104 Engineering Materials: group written project and oral presentation criteria sheet
Developed by Dr.Tuquabo Tesfamichael and Moira Cordiner
Synopsis of the task and its context
For this task from a QUT unit, four to six students in a group prepare the written and oral components. A project topic is assigned to each group by the unit coordinator at the beginning of the semester. Members of each project group come from the same tutorial and their task is to co-write a 2000-word report and present it in a seminar. Even though the seminar is presented by only one member of the group, other members can support the presentation by, for example, answering audience questions and clarifying information. The members of the group complete a sheet about the contribution of each member. If the contributions are equal, then each member of the group is awarded the same grade for both components of the task.Note that the criteria sheet on the next two pages is in two parts: the first part covers the written component and the second part covers the oral component of the task.
