Schüco International KG:

Annual Financial Report 2015

Bielefeld. The window and façade specialist Schüco is reporting a slight increase in turnover for 2015 compared to the previous year. Above all, the company profited from the steadily increasing market requirements for sustainable, modern building envelopes with a flexible design, versatile functions and intelligent networking.

With the sale of window, door and façade systems made from metal and PVC-U, the Schüco Group saw its 2015 financial year come to a successful conclusion, posting turnover of €1.430 billion. The equity ratio rose from 65.3 % to 73.1 % Overall, investment in technology, service and sales during the financial year amounted to €31.9 million.

Increase in turnover in the Metal and PVC-U divisions

In 2015, the Metal division generated a turnover of €1.1985 billion and therefore an increase in turnover of 3% – despite adverse market developments, for example, in Russia. In Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Poland, Luxembourg, Iberia (Spain, Portugal) and the Netherlands, Schüco achieved higher sales revenues than in the previous year. Outside of Europe, this growth largely resulted from the successful expansion of the business in India, the USA and Southeast Asia.

Following the restructuring of the PVC-U division, turnover here also surpassed that of the previous year by around 3%, reaching €230.5 million. This growth was driven by Germany and Europe, whereby the Benelux countries and Italy were able to record double-digit growth rates.

In 2015, the Schüco Group employed an average of 4630 staff overall. 3150 employees were based in Germany, with 2035 of those in East Westphalia-Lippe.

Outlook for 2016 – generally positive market conditions promise further growth in the Metal and PVC-U divisions

Germanmetal construction also sees a positive market environment for 2016. The continuing low interest rate level is expected to mean that investments in property will remain attractive.

With effect from 1 January 2016, the strategically important PVC-U business area became a separate entity under the umbrella of the Schüco Group. In future, the fully owned subsidiary Schüco Polymer Technologies KG with headquarters in Weißenfels will further expand this area. The principal growth driver here is the successful development of the core European markets such as Germany, the Benelux countries and Italy.
