Meal Plan Ideas for a 6 month to 2 year old
Breakfast

Weetbix with chia seeds and double cream / Moisten weetbix with water, add teaspoon of chia seed, teaspoon of low GI sugar, teaspoon of double cream, add full cream milk to make it as runny as you like / 10 grams
Melted Cheese on toast or cream cheese / -Spread toast with teaspoon of full butter. Add full fat cheese and melt in microwave, 10-15 sec.

Baked beans on toast / Spread toast with teaspoon of full butter, use small tin of baked beans / 10grams
Yoghurt with fresh fruit and chia seeds / Small tub of full cream yoghurt, teaspoon of chia seeds, teaspoon of double cream and soft fresh fruit ie mango, banana, strawberries, blueberries etc / 15 grams
Chocolate milk / 250mls of milk, 1 table spoon of chocolate topping, mix well / 10 grams
Scrambled eggs / 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of double cream, mix and add milk to make runny, melt 1 teaspoon of full fat butter in pan, add egg mixture and 20 grams of full fat cheese. / 20 grams
Snacks
Nutella and banana / 1 tablespoon of nutella. But banana into small rings and spread one side with nutella, add another ring. This makes a little sandwich / 10 gramsPacket of salt chips / Pretzels, salt & vinegar chips, sea salt, burger rings / 5 grams
1 cheese stick / 5 grams
Cheese and crackers / Woolworths home brand / 10 grams
Fresh fruit / Banana, mango, apple, mandarin
Celery and peanut butter/hommus / 4 celery sticks and 20 grams of peanut butter/ hommus / 5 grams
Yoghurt / Small tub and add 1 teaspoon of double cream / 10 grams
Vita wheets with cream cheese, peanut butter, vegemite, avocado / Spread vitewheets with 1 teaspoon of butter. Top with cream cheese, avocado, peanut butter, vegemite / 10 grams
Fresh fruit/nuts dipped in yoghurt / Grapes, strawberries, mango banana, apple, unsalted cashews.
Small tub of yoghurt add 1 teaspoon of double cream, mix, dip fruit and place on baking paper, freeze for 1 hour and place if fridge / 10 pieces of fruit = 5 grams
Forsters custard
Chocolate, banana, strawberry / This is best to hide vitADECK.
Cover spoon, open capsule, top with custard / 10 grams
Lunch
Vegemite and avocado sandwich / Butter bread liberally, spread vegemite and avocado / 10 gramsHam and cheese sandwich / Butter bread liberally, 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of full fat cheese / 10 grams
Tuna and mayo sandwich / Butter bread liberally, mix 1 tablespoon of full fat mayo with tuna in olive oil / 15 grams
Home made mini quiche / Use muffin tin, puff pasty, eggs, double cream, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, capsicum, full fat grated cheese / 10 grams per quiche
Fish fingers and chips / Shallow fry in coconut oil or olive oil.
2 fish fingers and 10-15 chips. Can have tomato sauce to dip, or mayonnaise, tartare approx. 1 tablespoon / 15 grams
Salami and cheese sandwich / Remove crust, butter liberally, layer salami and cheese and roll to form little snails / 10 grams
Chicken and mayo sandwich / Butter bread liberally, add BBQ chicken approx. 40 grams, and 1 tablespoon of mayo / 15 grams
Vegetable bake and meat / 4 Potatoes, 1 sweet potatoes, ½ pumpkin, peas,
Beans, ½ cauliflower, 1 head of broccoli. Add 250 ml of full fat cream, 4 bay leaves, a splash of sweet chilli sauce, and a sprinkle of curry powder. Makes a 20 cm Pyrex dish.
Bake 30 mins at 180⁰ until veges are soft.
Serve 2 tablesoons and freeze the rest in portions
And
2 french lamb cutlets shallow fried in coconut oil/ olive oil.
or
1 sausage (chicken, pork, beef) shallow fried in coconut oil/ olive oil. / 20 grams with meat choice.
Dinner
Pizza / Base1 cup of greek yoghurt and 1 cup of flour.
Need together for approx. 8 mins
Roll out onto pizza tray
Top with anything you like. Bake 10-15 min at 180⁰.
For desert top with nutella spread and cinnamon sugar. Roll and after cooking and makes nutella cinnamon scrolls. / 10 grams with topping
Vegetable bake and meat / As above
Spaghetti / Home made and topped liberally with parmesan cheese and mix / 20 grams
Fish and chips / As above
Chicken schnitzel / Crumb mix – bread crumbs, stuffing mix, parmesan cheese, continental parsley
Sliced chicken to portion size (prefer chicken fingers as it is easier to self feed), dip in flour, beaten egg then bread crumb mix. Shallow fry in coconut oil/olive oil. / 4 fingers = 10 grams
Ricotta cheese/ peas/ chicken and vegetables patizzi / Cook 2 patizzi / 10 grams
Will eat what you are having for dinner, just portion and work out fat/protein content using calorie king app on Ipad or phone. If you cannot measure/weigh do not panic we are not perfect and all get it wrong occasionally do not panic.
Dessert
Fresh fruit and custard / Chop fruit and pour ½ cup of vanilla custard / 10 gramsIce cream / 2 dessert spoon of full fat
Add topping if you like / 5 grams
Cheese platter / 4-6 rice crackers, two pieces of cambert, brie, or other soft cheese / 10 grams
Milkshake with ice cream / 1 dessert spoon of milo, 250mls of milk, two dessert spoons of ice cream. Blend and sprinkle with chopped nuts / 10 grams
