CouncilmanRogerClarkestatedthatifthelowestbidsare awarded onthesethreecontractsthetotalofthe contractsawardedfortheGenerationProjectwouldbe $2, 414,924.00.Heaskedifthatisallthatwould bespentontheproject.SecretaryJonesagreedwiththatamountbutstatedtherehadbeenfundsspentpriortothismeetingsuch as$60,000.00forpropertypurchased,engineeringfees,Boroughpublicworkslabor,advertisingfees,etc.Mr.Jonesstatedthatwiththeseexpendituresandsomeanticipatedincidentalcostsyetto beincurred,the project’stotalestimatedcostswould nowbeapproximately

$2,550,000.00.Thisis about$150,000.00savingsovertheproject’soriginalestimatedcosts.

Motion by TomFisherandseconded byJohnHarding to havebidsreceivedforthe GeneratorTieLineExcavation Project,TheLean LineConnectorProject,andtheRadialFeed Tie LineProjectreviewedbyAppalachianEngineeringGroup,LLCand the Borough Secretaryfor completenessandcompliancewith theBorough ofBerlin bidspecifications,andtomakerecommendations toawardeach projectcontractinaccordancewith thePennsylvaniaConsolidatedStatutes,Title 8 –TheBorough Code.
