TOURNAMENT – for U14 players

5.30pm onwards

Please arrive at 5.15pm for registration and warm-up

All entrants will enjoy lots of tennis – round robin box leagues first, followed by knock-out finals

Don’t worry about your standard just come and join a fun evening of tennis!

HSBC Road to Wimbledon is the biggest junior tournament in British tennis and gives all 14U players the opportunity to progress through to compete on the world famous grass courts at Wimbledon.

AECC club winners – one boy and one girl will qualify for the county finals – and the county winner will qualify for the national finals at Wimbledon!

Open to all players:

•  14 & under on 31st August 2017

•  Rated between 10.2 and 7.1 on 1st April 2017

•  Who are members of AECC Tennis Club

•  With a British Tennis Membership Number (if you do not have one, you can sign up at https://www3.lta.org.uk/Members/Join/ - and this will be free as you are a member of the club)

If your rating is 6.2 or better, then please enter the international pathway – www.lta.org.uk/roadtowimbledon

Please complete the application form overleaf and send it to Stuart Murray with your £5 entry fee – cheques to ‘AECC Tennis’ (26 Beech Ave, Northenden, Manchester, M22 4JE) – or hand your entry to one of the coaches at your lesson - by Friday 5th May.

ELIGIBILITY

•  A player must be 14 & Under on 31st August 2017 (for more information on competition age groups view www.LTA.org.uk/competitionagegroups)

•  A player must have a British Tennis Membership and an LTA Rating (for more information view www.LTA.org.uk/britishtennismembership)

•  A player must be rated between 10.2 and 7.1 as of 1st April 2017.

•  A player must be a member of the venue by the start of the first round of the competition and remain so during the event while still actively participating.

•  No player may represent more than one venue in the competition. A choice has to be made as to whether to play in a Club, Park or School tournament.
