DR. NATHALIA ROGERS
Dr. Nathalia Rogers is currently an Assistant Professor of Sociology at
Dowling College in Oakdale, Long Island. Dr. Rogers received her Ph.D. from McGill University where she specialized in research on business development.
Her current research deals with the issues of changing global economic
Conditions and how these conditions affect various communities such as
Communities on Long Island.
She has advised UN Secretary General and consults with scores of business owners to help in determining direction and effectiveness
GARY HUTH BIO
Gary Huth is the Principal Economist/Labor Market Analyst with the New York State Department of Labor and works in the regional office in Hicksville. His office provides information on economic and labor market trends, including a monthly report on the region's unemployment rate and the number of jobs, by industry; Occupational Outlook, a five-year projection by occupation for the region; and reports on wages and other topics, such as changes in business practices. The Department of Labor, in partnership with a number of local agencies and schools, operates the Island's largest job bank and also maintains a comprehensive web page and publishes a monthly newsletter. Gary has an M.A. in Economics from Hunter College and an M.A. in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
