Menu Project Information Sheet

Objective:

Using the vocabulary from chapter 8 of your textbook, as well as additional vocabulary that you find in your research, create a menu for a restaurant in Spanish using google documents.

Directions:

1.  Choose a Spanish speaking country for your restaurant (Argentina, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, España, Honduras, México, Perú, República Dominicana, Venezuela)

2.  Research your country’s address and phone number format, authentic dishes and currency using the websites provided.

3.  Make a cover design that includes:

  1. Name of the restaurant
  2. Type of cuisine

c.  Realistic address using the format of the country you have chosen

d.  Realistic phone number using the format of the country you have chosen

e.  Days and hours (24 hour clock) of operation

4.  For each category listed below, include THREE DIFFERENT items (from your unit vocabulary lists)

  1. Bebida
  2. Desayuno
  3. Almuerzo
  4. Cena
  5. Postre

5.  Create a daily menu using authentic dishes from your country that includes:

  1. Title: “Menú del día”
  2. 3 categories: Primer Plato, Segundo Plato, Postre

c.  ONE authentic dish from the country you have chosen in EACH category

d.  List of ingredients for each dish in BOTH Spanish and English

e.  The price of the menu in the currency of your country (convert 10 US dollars)

*** Spelling, grammar, creativity and neatness count

*** Projects will be presented

*** 10 points will be deducted for every day the project is late (max of 3 days)
