Job Announcement
FuturePAC, the campaign arm for the Oregon House Democrats, is seeking committed individualsto maintain and expand the Democratic majority in the Oregon House of Representatives in the 2018 election cycle.
CAMPAIGN SERVICES DIRECTOR
FuturePAC Campaign Services Directors will work directly with the Executive Director and act as a primary liaison between candidate campaigns, FuturePAC, the Oregon House Democrats Leadership Team, and consultants.
Qualifications:
Candidates for this position must have excellent judgment, campaign planning and field experience, and a work ethic of the highest degree. Additionally, qualified candidates should have:
- An ability to plan and use time wisely
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience working on political campaigns, state legislative preferred
- Experience with campaign technology tools, including the Voter Activation Network (VAN)
- Ability to think outside the box and work as a team
- Flexibility to work extensive hours, including nights and weekends
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with consultant and campaign to develop highly-tailored campaign plan and work with campaign to implement campaign, field and fundraising plans
- Monitor candidate filing/opposition activity
- Connect House Leadership and caucus members with candidates and their campaigns
- Analyze need and availability of campaign resources in each district
Personnel and Management
- Recruit and train qualified campaign staff
- Develop team work ethic between candidate, staff, liaison and consultant
- Work with campaign to track and analyze progress on campaign fundraising and field
- Produce reports on campaign progress to Executive Director and House Leadership team
Field
- Work with campaign to implement field plan
- Plan and oversee field strategy across targeted districts
- Train staff on volunteer recruitment and field best practices
- Write and approve phone and canvass scripts
Finance (in tandem with FuturePAC Finance Director):
- Help candidates develop individual donor programs
- Work with campaign managers and candidates on call time
- Work with incumbent legislators to host lobby fundraisers
- Work with campaigns to boost and maintain cash on hand
Additional Information:
- Salary is $3,000-$4,100/month, depending on experience
- Health, dental, and vision insurance provided
- This position will require extensive hours and statewide travel
