Homework: Homework is an essential part of this class and each student’s success in Math II. It is necessary for students to complete their homework on a daily basis, as I will be checking each day for completion. I do not check for correct or incorrect answers, but rather to see if the student has tried his/her best. I will always go over any questions a student may have before moving on to the next section.
Notebooks: Each student is required to keep an organized math notebook.
Notebooks will be turned in on test days.
Classroom Expectations
1. Be respectful.
- I will treat students, and will expect them to treat each other and me, with respect at all times.
2. Be punctual.
- Students should be in their seats and ready to work when the bell rings. This includes having your pencil sharpened!
- Tardy students should expect a call to Home from me because of being tardy.
3. Be prepared.
- Pencil and paper will be needed everyday – do not come to class without them.
- Homework is to be completed each night.
3. Cell phones, iPods, and other electronics may not be used in class.
- If any electronics are seen or heard by me during class, they will be taken.
4. No food or drink in class.
- Bottled water is okay.
**In addition to the expectations listed above, all ParklandMagnetHigh School policies apply in this classroom.**
Make-Up Work: If a student is absent, the following day present, he/she should report to the teacher and collect what was missed. This includes homework assignments.
If a student misses a test, he/she is given up to five days to make up the work before or after school. If the work is not made up by the fifth day, that student will take a zero for that test. Quizzes can not be made up. If a quiz is missed then you are
given a grade of exempt.
