Undergraduate Certificate Requirements
1.African Studies Courses
A total of five African Studies courses (15 credits) is required. They must include one core course (3 credits) and four elective courses (12 credits).

- AFRCNA 1310 Cultures of Africa (ANTH 1778) (CORE)
2. Language Requirement
Students must complete two years of the study of an indigenous African language or European language, other than English, that is relevant to African Studies.
3. Capstone Project
Each student will develop an interdisciplinary research paper that ties together their African Studies learning experiences.
