How to Enter the Art Show
1. Submissions may be taken any time after Sunday, June 11, at the rectory. Deadline for
entries is Wednesday, July 5, 7 PM. All entries should be either framed or mounted on a
hard backing surface.
2. Entries may be left on the back porch of St. Joseph’s Rectory. Be sure that your entry
form is attached securely.
3. Please provide all the information requested on the entry form.
4. The entry fee for one work of art is $ 3. Each additional work is $ 2. Children’s submissions
are FREE. (Please indicate age on entry form.) Please pay by check to: ”Ave Maria Guild.”
If there is no one to answer the door at the rectory, please attach your check to your
registration.
5. You may offer your work for purchase, if you wish. No one is obliged to do so:
A. Sale will be by “Silent Auction.” Opening bid is your minimum acceptable price.
B. The Ave Maria Guild will receive a 10 % commission on each piece sold.
For example, if you price your entry at $ 40, the AMG would receive $ 4 and you
would receive $ 36.
C. Please indicate on the entry form the minimum price acceptable to you, including the
Guild’s 10 % commission.
6. One adult prize will be awarded in each category: oil/acrylic, watercolor, sketch, photography,
or other media. Three equal prizes will be awarded for the children’s artwork, and for teens’
artwork with no distinction by category. All children will receive a small gift for participating.
There are three categories for children: one for Grades K-4; one for Grades 5-8, and
and the other for Grades 9 thru 12 for the 2017-18 term.
7. Winners will be chosen by vote of those attending the Exhibit over the three days your
art will be on public display.
8. All proceeds from the sale of artwork will be distributed, and unsold artwork will be returned,
Wednesday night, July 10,after the auction and drawings. All artists are encouraged to attend
the last evening to receive their artwork or proceeds from sale.
9. St. Joseph’s Church and the Ave Maria Guild assume NO responsibility for your artwork.
