  • Indicate milestones (events or testing dates as they could be invited to observe)

  • Drop the line item financials, what’s the end-game funding needs?

SPONSORSHIP CHECKLIST

Who is your faculty and department advisor, do you have their feedback, direction, and/or connections?

  • Show them all of the information and preparation you've put into the challenge ahead of you. They can then apply their time where it will count most in affirming or redirecting your thought process.
  • What are your goals?
  • Ask yourself "why should industry care about those goals?"
  • What is your prospect list, and in what rank of priority will you reach out to them, why do you rank them in that order?
  • Example: Do you think it will be simpler to get to your goal with few large donations, or many small donations, can you deliver on the value proposition you make to industry in either of those cases?
  • How will you track progress across your team and who is doing outreach. The worst is when you duplicate efforts and the company falls victim to uncoordinated or unprofessional outreach (and knows it)

NOTES ON DESIGN

  • Communicate through images and design. Photos of the library are great but off brand.
  • Use common fonts and share as a PDF to avoid formatting issues
  • Integrate prospective company logo to give show them what it might look like
