SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST 2016-2017

It is that time of year again and school is right around the corner. A suggested supply list was included in the student packet for all students. Below are additional items that are specific to my classroom and will be used regularly during the upcoming school year.
Please bring the following items the first day of school:
Reading
o One (1-1½ in.) 3-ring binder with plastic cover for title insert
o One package of 5 divider tabs left unlabeled
Writing
o 1 lined composition notebook
Social Studies
o 3 or 5-subject spiral notebook labeled “Current Events”
Math
o 1 spiral-lined notebook
o 1 graph paper notebook – spiral or composition
o 1 textbook cover
Organization
o Expanding file folder w/ top closure/accordion file. Tabs labeled: Home, Math, Science, Social Studies, Writing, Reading
o Or 1 folder for each subject, plus a Home “traveling folder”.
o Pencil pouch/box
Donations always accepted
Clorox wipes, Kleenex, paper towel, hand sanitizer, and pencils (regular & mechanical)

We will have 4 classroom Read Alouds. If you would like to purchase a copy of the book for your child’s own personal use, the titles are listed below.

· Breathe: a ghost story by Cliff McNish
· The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
· Heat by Mike Lupica
Please be sure to label all items, as well as lunch boxes and clothing. Remember, some of the supplies may need to be replenished later in the year, especially pencils!
