The HRDC board grants Ex shows residences that include one week of tech followed by either a one-weekend or a two-weekend run, based on various factors, including the show’s preference and the way it fits into the season as a whole.

BUDGET

Ex shows are entitled to $500 of funding from the HRDC, which mustcover publicity (posters), set and costume construction, and any rentals, but NOT the rights to the show (which are covered automatically by the HRDC/ART). Ex shows may also apply for outside funding, in which case they do NOT receive any funding from the HRDC (except for the cost of rights). Please speak to the HRDC Ex Coordinator or Treasurer to learn more about both the advantages (potentially more money) and disadvantages (lots of applications, and the possibility of NO money) of applying for your own funding. NOTE: If you are applying for outside funding, you must submit a $500 budget in addition to a budget that anticipates outside funding. If you are applying with a $500 budget, you do not need to fill out the second template.

LOEB DRAMA CENTER AGREEMENT

All applications for residency in the Loeb Experimental Theater must contain this agreement, signed by the director(s) and producer(s) listed on the application. Typing your name in the “Signature” fields provided acknowledges your acceptance of this agreement.

______(producer(s)) agree that, if granted space in the Loeb Drama Center, we and all members of our production will adhere to the following guidelines:

1)We will be respectful to the facilities and conscientious of the many others who share the space.

2)We will adhere to any deadlines stipulated by HRDC Production Associate, Kat Nakaji in a timely manner.

3)We will meet with and be responsive to our HRDC Board Liaison.

4)Our show will cast through Common Casting (the first week of classes), unless we are one of the earliest slots and are given explicit permission to precast.

5)If granted a two-week residency, we will hold a full two weekends of shows.

6)The director and producer(s) will attend the entire 2 hour Director/Producer meeting on the Friday afternoon before the semester begins.

7)We will send the required number of volunteers (2 per slot for Ex shows; 4 per slot for Mainstage) to Workbee, which occurs the Sunday before Common Casting.

8)We will submit all reimbursement forms to the Treasurer and 3 copies of our poster and program to the Historian within one week of strike.
