On March 2011, I joined Oxy Oman (Safah) as Gas Plant lead Operator. The earned experience from gas plant are Compression of NG, Dehydration of NG, Refrigeration of NG, Recovery of NGL, Glycol Regeneration, Separation of gas NGL & water, Propane Making & Crude Oil Stabilization.

Salalah Methanol Project

On Dec. 2008,I joinedSalalah Methanol Project in Oman/Salalah as J. Production Engineertobe a part of construction, pre-commissioning and commissioningactivates of a high capacity methanol plant (3125 Tons /day). The plant technology isfrom JACOBS Consultancy Licensors and the constructor was GS Construction & Engineering. During this period I deeply took part in various activities of pre-commissioning and commissioning of a large methanol plant which includes steamair blowing, lines cleaning (water flushing & acid cleaning), oil flushing, leak test, hydro. test, checking & inspection of all vessels, columns and all kind of equipments in the field, catalyst loading, startup of very high capacity pumps, turbines and compressors est.

  • Working Knowledge of Process and Units OperationofMethanol Plant.
  • Pre-Commissioning,Commissioning experience & startupof methanol plant.
  • Operation knowledge of methanol pant equipments.
  • Ability to read, understand and analyze P&ID, PFD & SOP.
  • Carry out the shift routine plant check.
  • Taking the reading of running plant, identifying any abnormalitiesby reporting the observed abnormality, checking the healthiness of all the equipment of their concerned units & dealing with work permits.
  • Participating with process work team in all startup & shutdown activates of the plant.
  • Emergency Handling like Power Failure (Blackout), Steam & Instrument Air Failure, Process upsets or high pressure gas/liquid leaking.
  • Monitor the unit equipment performance.
  • Operating rotating equipments like steam turbines, Gas engines & turbines pumps, fans & compressors.
  • Collection of samples (gas + liquid) and keeping them at the designated place for collection and transportation to laboratory.
  • Handling and dealing with highly flammable and toxic materials like (NG, NGL, Propane, Methanol, Synthesis Gas with CO, CO2 and H2)
  • Ensuring and maintaining proper safety & housekeeping in the concerned units.
  • Maintaining and implementing Plant Health, Safety and Environmental Rules and Addition/ Disposal of Chemical Waste in safe manner.
  • Assist in training of new occasional trainees from colleges.
