MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD AT KARSIYAKA PARK ON WEDNESDAY 15 MARCH 2017

The meeting was opened at 7.05pm by The Chairman.

  1. Minutes of the previous meeting

The Minutes of the meeting held on 8 February 2017 were accepted as a true record;

  1. Matters arising

There were no matters arising from the last meeting, other than the voting of competition rules and venues.

  1. Competition Rules and Venues

Each competition was voted individually and the results are as listed below. Entry fee to be 10tl per player as in previous years.

Venues were decided as follows:

Men’s doubles / Baroosh / Thursday 13th April
Mixed doubles / Jessic / Thursday 20th April
Ladies Singles & Doubles / Karsiyaka Park / Thursday 27th April
Men’s Singles / Baroosh / Thursday 4th May

The Chairman stated that it is normal for teams to supply a raffle prize at each competition. Malcolm Barnes proposed that any team entering players MUST provide a prize. This was put to the vote and agreed unanimously.

  1. Presentation Night

It was agreed unanimously that the presentation night would be at Sirinyali Restaurant on Friday 2nd June with entertainment and further details to be confirmed.

  1. Any Other Business

Alan Taylor, Kings Bar asked what do the sponsors provide? Bill Hodson replied, dartboards, trophies and many prizesof beer, t-shirts, hats etc at presentation evening. Malcolm Barnes added that Lemar Supermarket may be a possible sponsor in the future should Carlsberg discontinue.

Alan from Kings Bar andBrenda from The Park supplies names for competition entries as requested at the previous meeting. Chairman added teams could email possible numbers of entrants to all competitions, although players can turn up on the night.

The Chairman thanked everyone for their support through the season and said that this would be the last meeting of this season.
