2017-18 Financial Scholarship Policy
Each year the Fargo Youth Hockey Association offers Financial Scholarships to families in need of financial assistance. These dollars are taken from the General Fund and used in combination with a $100 requirement (per player) by the families to pay for their registration fees.
Below is the Financial Scholarship Policy:
1) Families must present School issued “Free or Reduced” lunch letter or previous year’s Tax Return along with application. FYHA uses the “ND Free or Reduced Breakfast & Lunch” income guidelines if you are submitting a Tax Return. Exceptions to these guidelines will be considered for a variety of reasons including family illness, loss of job, etc.

2) Families requesting a Financial Scholarship must submit the Financial Aid Application from the website prior to registration deadlines. Incomplete applications will be returned.
3) Assistance will be granted for one season at a time. Families needing assistance in future years need to re-apply.
4) Scholarships will be used for Registration Fees ONLY. Families are responsible for USA Hockey fees, fundraising obligations, gate fees(season end State Tournament Peewee/12U and up), travel expenses, equipment, etc.
5) Families who do not fulfill their financial obligations will not be eligible for aid in subsequent years.
6) Financial assistance is provided at the sole discretion of the Executive Board of the Fargo Youth Hockey Association. Applications will be reviewed and offered on a case by case basis. All decisions are final. All information is kept confidential.
