You know, my topic is totally about a personal question. So, this week I would like to tell my conditions and some experiences.
Why I am so skinny? I often ask myself. And I even consulted a doctor. He told me:”That is, it runs in the family.
It means that genetically you are programmed to be tall and slim.What build were your parents? If both were tall and slim, I'm afraid it is most likely that you will be too.
But there is still much you can do. Weight-training will increase the size and bulk of your muscles.”
The doctor was right. My parents are both very thin. As a result, I am very thin. In fact, this fact makes me pessimisticwith my gain-weight plan due to the fact that it is gene which we can never change making me skinny. But I also got some morals from doctor’s word. He pointed that I can increase bulk of my muscles by exercising.
Frankly speaking, I do not hope much from this plans, I just don’t feeling like being underweight so seriously. And I have some examples, I have a classmate who is 175cm and only weighs 54kg at the most. He has been thin for as long as I have known him. We have been known each other for 7 years and he has always just been a skinny guy. He is so thin, that when he wears shorts his legs look like sticks... and people comment to him that he is so skinny or make jokes that he likes a pale. And to me it seems like he gets sick a lot... especially with digestive issues (gas especially). He does chew tobacco, and I wonder if he quit, if he would be able to gain some weight? But truth prove that he can’t gain weight even he quit it. By the word, he has ever tried to gain weight, and he quit his many unhealthy habitats. But he failed.Also, he eats... and fattening food like pizza and he drinks a lot of soda!
His experience made me a little disappointed. But I will never give up. I have made a consideration. If I insist on carrying out my plan for 4 months, I can gain 4kg. Above all, persistence is a most important quality.
Unfortunately, I true have some digestive issues, in my opinion, this is the most important reason causing my too skinny. I plan to eat some food which can improve my digestive skill. What’s more, I like drinking coca-cola, compare others own their overweight to drinking too much cocacola, I think it counts little for me. To be honest, I hate lard, I can not stand much lard. That may counts my difficultly gaining weight, too.
But a friend told me:”concentrate on the groups of muscles which enlarge most, like the thighs, the chest, shoulders and back. And eat more often than three times a day.
Try to eat a carbohydrate-rich snack every three hours along with extra protein and regularly take a food supplement such as chocolate before your workouts.”
I don’t know whether it works. But I am determined enough to achieve my target.
