Title:product development placement– frozen
Reporting to:SENIOR DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGIST - FROZEN
Location:office based, leyland
Purpose of Role
- To support the product development team in the development of new products from concept to launch ensuring all Dr. Oetker quality standards are met.
- To assist in sample preparation and testing for product development enhancements and improvements ensuring all Dr. Oetker quality standards are met.
- To contribute to the generation product concept ideas to fill the innovation pipe line.
pRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To prepare product samples for internal evaluation and customer appraisal, ensuring in all cases that Dr. Oetker quality standards are met.
- To prepare and cook product for internal and external product sampling sessions.
- To support the product development team in the development ofnew cooking instructions and to testthe instructions in line with Dr. Oetker NPD procedures.
- To conduct product breakdowns in an accurate and timely manner for post trial/ first production review.
- To assist with product presentations to customers/visitors ensuring completion in a way that reflects the high quality standards of Dr. Oetker and its brands.
- To collate product samples ensuring products reflect the high quality standards of Dr. Oetker and its brands.Organise shipment of samples to customers.
- To prepare and maintain the taste panel quality attribute sheet for all UK produced products ensuring they are an accurate representation of the approved product.
- To be responsible for maintaining the frozen pizza data base, detailing product breakdowns, photography and labelling information. Track competitor product changes as required.
- To be responsible for maintaining the NPD test kitchen raw material stocks and finished product stocks.
- To proactively identify innovative product concepts via market trend information, food exhibitions or ideation sessions.
- To translate concept ideas into viable, innovative project ideas and present to marketing on a regular basis.
- To manage product presentations to customers/visitors are completed in a way that reflects the high quality standards of Dr. Oetker and its brands.
- Responsible for the legal duty of care owed to employees and others.
- Responsible for understanding the relevant requirements of the health and safety policy.
