Josh Engel 2017 summer camp Rice Lake
Learn to Skate-$60 /Skater- 5 & Under
Practices are Sundays from 5-6pm Starts June 25th. Ends July 23rd.
Focus: I will be teaching the kids proper skating technique, which will help them to feel more comfortable on the ice. We will play many games to help keep them engaged.
Equipment pick up- June 17th from 10-12pm at Rice Lake Hockey Arena
Will need a check written out to the Rice Lake Hockey Association for $50 if you need equipment. The check will be returned to you once the equipment is handed back in.
Mites- $165/Skater- 6& up
Practices are Mondays & Thursdays from 5-6pm
Starts June 19th Ends July 27th No practices the first week of July.
Focus: Skating, passing, stick-handling and shooting. I will be focusing on these four fundamentals, which are crucial to a hockey players development. Many games will be played to make it fun.
Squirts- $180 /Skater- 10 & under
Practices are Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 5-6:15pm
Starts June 20th Ends July 26th. No practices the first week of July
Focus: Skating, passing, stick-handling and shooting. I will be focusing on these four fundamentals, which are crucial to a hockey players development. Many games will be played to make it fun.
Peewee- $180/Skater- 12 & under
Practices are Mondays & Thursday from 6:15-7:30pm
Starts June 19th Ends July 27th. No practices the first week of July
Focus: Skills, Reading and Reacting. While focusing on skill development, we will also start focusing on hockey sense. How to read a situation and properly play it, is the next step in the players development. Teaching cycling, 1 on 1, 2 on 1, 2 on 2 and 3 on 2 rushes and how to defend and attack these areas will help the players knowledge of the game.
Bantam- $235/Skater- 14 & under
Practices are Sundays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays From 6:30-7:45pm
Starts June 20th Ends July 26th. No practices the first week of July
Focus: Skills, Checking, Reading and reacting. While focusing on skill development, we will also start focusing on hockey sense. How to read a situation and properly play it, is the next step in the players development. Teaching cycling, 1 on 1, 2 on 1, 2 on 2 and 3 on 2 rushes and how to defend and attack these areas will help the players knowledge of the game. I will also be teaching proper technique on how to check and receive a check, which is very important for the players safety.
