Things to know about your science kits.
Q. How can I track my kits within my district once I have received the kits?
A.A list of the kits that you receive will be provided with the kits in a medium sized envelope and in electronic form to the science coordinator within your district. This form is useful for tracking the kits within your district.
Q. What does each kit consist of?
A.Each kit will arrive with a journal box. Some kits include buckets of material (OR, ES, & LW). EP & PG include long boxes that consist of components of a light fixture. All parts of your kits will arrive to your school.NGSS Phase 1 kits will have a Teacher Guide included as part of the kit.
Q. I cannot find the buckets for the LW kits. It is not on the same pallet as the totes…
A.Typically, all components of the same kit are on the same pallet. On occasion, it is not possible to have all the components of a kit on the same pallet; however, all components will arrive on the same load.
Q.A teacher is missing an item in the kit they received. Now what?
A. It is helpful if the Teacher inventories the kit as soon as they receive it. In the event that an item is missing or needs to be replaced, please contact us immediately so that we may replace it before it is needed for the lesson.
Q. A teacher did not realize that an item was broken until she was into her lesson. Will she be charged for that item despite it having arrived broken?
A. No. It is helpful that they note on the inventory list that it arrived to them broken; however, we will not charge them for any broken or missing items.
Q. Our district goofed and ordered too many kits. How can I avoid being charged for it?
A. If a kit is not needed and is returned to us unopened and in a timely manner; we will not charge a restocking fee. However, it will be your responsibility to return it to our warehouse.
Q. A teacher is returning the kit unused after the rotation. Will my district be charged for it?
A. If a kit is returned to us unopened, your district will be charged a restocking fee. If a kit is returned opened but unused, your district will be charged the regular refurbishment cost.
Q. Why is the amount of kits we received different than what we need?
A. The warehouse stages and deliveries the kits based on the information received from the district. If the kits needed are inaccurate, it may be that we did not receive updated or accurate information from the district.
Q. What happens if a Teacher keeps a kit beyond the return date?
A. If a kit is not returned on the date due, it may impair having that kit available in time for the next rotation. A typical Science Kit rotation uses an average of 1,000 kits. We have a very short turnaroundtime which requires that all kits are returned promptly so that it does not impact the needs of the next rotation.
Q. Who do I contact if a component of a kit is missing or broken?

Please include kit number when providing information.
Q. Who do I contact concerning kit pickup and delivery schedule as well as kits needed?
