I had taken VRS from a leading South based Public Sector Bank in February 2006 after serving for over three decades involving branches/administrative offices in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana & Madhya Pradesh. The last position held was Senior Manager (credit) in a controlling office in MP supervising CREDIT DEPARTMENT involving credit monitoring and credit administration, preparation of credit proposals, pre-sanction and post-sanction compliance of 25 branches.
The responsibilities discharged were (i) overall monitoring of loan portfolio of bank’s branches (ii) credit support by way of advice/guidance on loan products, its interpretation, implementation, etc. (iii) aggressive selling of retail loan products like housing, vehicles, etc. and review of branch managers’ loan sanctions (iv) loan process of all credit applications from individuals beyond branch managers sanctioning powers (v) loan process of big (high value), accounts of corporate borrowers and (project /infrastructure finance), including preparation of board notes for sanction up to Executive Director/CMD powers.
-I have gained huge exposure in corporate credit portfolio management while gaining experience in dispersing retail lending under different loan products.
-Special knowledge has been gained in real estate loans/advances, bank guarantees and solvency certificates to companies engaged in building infrastructure, manufacturing, export in urban/metro areas.
-I have worked as an independent branch manager at branches in Delhi and UP and has also served in supervisory capacity of Grade III in branches in States - UP, MP and Haryana and am conversant with all facets of branch banking (back office, front office operations, training and enhancing staff productivity, client servicing etc.)

CREDIT MANAGEMENT/CREDIT APPRAISAL
What I did
· At branches, became conversant with regard to front office tasks in credit department in identifying the would-be borrower, preparation of credit proposals.
· Preparation of office notes for sanction of bank’s major credit products in retail consumer lending – vehicle, mortgage, education, etc.
· At large value advance branches, (Rs.1Crore and above of credit portfolio) was Credit Manager at Senior Level Management level where corporate lending and consortium accounts were overseen and closely monitored.

CREDIT ADMINISTRATION/REVIEW
What I know
· At Regional offices as Credit Administration Manager, was overall in charge of branches where the brief was to oversee branch credit growth, guidance and internal review of concurrent audit& statutory audit report.
· Preparation of Board Notes for Project/infrastructure financing up to Board powers and for sanction up to Rs.9Crores at Zonal/Regional Level.
· Registration of branch applications under Credit Guarantee Trust for Small Scale Industries (CGTSI) and close monitoring/ensuring regular growth of finance under this Guarantee Scheme.
· Rectification of RBI Audit/Internal Audit/Statutory Audit Reports of Branches and Regional Office, Credit review of monthly loan sanctions, debit balances/overdraw in CA / Exceeding and documentation for loans at branches and conveyance of sanction falling beyond branch under various credit sanctioning powers.
· Monitoring of Corporate Debt, Restructuring of sick units and implementation of CDR package as per RBI guidelines.
What I am doing now
After taking voluntary retirement without blemish and an impeccable service record, I took a break in 2006 and took up a placement in a leading South-based Private Sector Bank on Contract basis in Central Delhi in one of their prestigious large sized branch (VLB), where the job profile is to prepare credit proposals up to Board powers pertaining to pharma, real estate, garment, cement, iron & steel,,etc of exporters and manufacturing units (medium and large scale).
Job Profile
The job profile was to assess and decide quantum of bank finance to Body Corporate, firms and individuals (both existing for renewal and enhancement of credit exposures) by preparing Board notes for sanction and post sanction follow up and close monitoring from a review perspective.
The job profile did not include my inculcating the colleague officers the processing skills for assessing new/existing credit proposals, which I did on my own volition to help the bank in training officers with expertise and confidence in leading a team of skilled personnel in credit matters in actual working environment.
The advanced Computer Software (CBS) environment helped me to enhance my computer skills in preparation of Board Note in MS Word and in preparation of data in MS Excel formats which made the tasks much easier to prepare and store for future retrieval.
What I am looking for now
With almost 3 decades of hands-on experience in banking and exposure in working in various capacities in Branches/Controlling Offices in Credit/Administration/Management, I am now looking for a continuity with more credit exposure in Corporate Finance Portfolio and Retail lending with a better pay package including non-taxable perquisites/reimbursements of around Rs.35,000 – Rs.40,000 per month (the last drawn pay was Rs. 43000/- per month inclusive of all perks), which could necessarily include Housing, Medical, Entertainment and Petrol reimbursement (non taxable). The work would be in South/South west/Central Delhi preferably but do not mind going to satellite cities in the neighborhood provided pick up/drop facilities are provided.
I am not averse to taking up assignments in Audit/Inspection, as I was actively involved in Concurrent Audit/Statutory Audit/Yearly Internal Inspection of branches and in Controlling Offices in Bhopal (M.P) and Faridabad (Haryana).
I am a stickler for perfectly turned out job & I work tirelessly for achieving as near perfection as possible.
