Fiduciary Responsibilities Related to Retirement Plans

Retirement plan fiduciaries have been dealing with heightened scrutiny from several sources in the past few years. This seminar will be an opportunity for new fiduciaries to find out what is expected of them by the Department of Labor (DOL), and for current fiduciaries to refresh their memories. It will be presented by a Supervisory Investigator for the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA), and will cover the following:

  • An overview of general fiduciary compliance standards
  • The new plan administrator disclosure requirements for Defined Contribution plans
  • The recently released regulations on advice to plan participants
