She attended two years at Utah State University before her marriage to David Roy Geddes of Logan on 10 July 1929 in the Logan Temple. During the first five years of their marriage they lived in Banida, Idaho, where Dad dry farmed. Later they moved to Cove, Utah, where they farmed until Dad died in 1979. Mother continued to live on the farm which is being worked by Adrian Geddes, a son.
Thora returned to Utah State University when her youngest son, Spencer, was about three or four years old. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught at West Side, Franklin, and Preston in Idaho.
She received the teacher of the year award while teaching in Idaho. She loved teaching and has many fond memories of her students and those teachers she taught with.
She served many years in the Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society, and Young Womens organizations. After the death of Roy and 50 years of marriage, she filled a proselyting mission in Independence, Missouri.
She served two Temple Missions in the Washington DC, temple and one in the Chicago Temple. She served for many years in the Logan Temple before, between, and after serving on the other missions. She was happiest when she was serving. She and her dear friend, Neta Allen, attended the temple weekly and normally did two or more sessions until recently when it became too difficult for her to attend.

She read extensively and set an outstanding example for all of us in her efforts to learn. She enjoyed her yard and garden and loved to see things grow.
She felt that her greatest accomplishment was Her and Dad’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We honor this great lady.
