Policies for: EP~ LOCKERS ~ LATENESS ~ TEACHER ABSENCE
EP:
~ EP is a time to seek extra help, to complete independent work, or to make up
missed assignments.
~ You must have something to do during every EP. At the start of the period, you
must make a plan for how you will spend your 30 minutes.
~ THINK:
~ Do you need to see a teacher?
~Do you have a pass from that teacher?
~Were you absent and need to make up a missed quiz, test or assignment
~ Do you need to meet with other students for a group project in a
common area such as the library?
~Do you have independent work to complete quietly at your seat?
~Do you need to visit a room with computers in order to complete your work?
~ Do you have an anticipated absence from class? Which teachers do you need to
see about work you will miss?
~ To see a teacher who is not one of your core team teachers, you will need to get a
pass from that teacher the day before or early that morning before the start of
the school day.
~ You must be in your assigned seat by the second bell or you are considered late.
Attendance is taken at the start of every EP.
~ To go any place other than your locker, you must have your EP Notebook signed,
dated and time-stamped from me.
~ You may only go to the location marked in your EP Notebook and you must return
with your EP Notebook signed and time-stamped.
LOCKERS: Locker time is as follows:
~ When you arrive at school in the morning (8:10)
Prepare all books for your morning classes, INCLUDING EP.
~ Before and after lunch.
Prepare all books for your afternoon classes
~ After the last bell (3:00).
~ This locker schedule allows you time to prepare yourself for the morning classes
andthen for the afternoon classes.
~ If you plan to work on a project during EP foran afternoon class, prepare all items
for this during the morning locker time.
~ Time does not allow for frequent locker visits between classes, so please plan
ahead.
LATENESS:
~ A total of 3 late arrivals to class will be tolerated (without a pass).
~ After the 3rd lateness, you will be given a detention.
~ Any subsequent late arrivals will result in a Code of Conduct.
TEACHER ABSENCE:
~ When there is a substitute teacher in the classroom for any class, your best
behavior is expected. If your name is left by the substitute teacher for any
reason, you will get a detention for your first offense. If your name is left
by a substitute for a second time, regardless of the class where this occurs,
you will receive a Code of Conduct for all offenses thereafter.
