JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title:Production SchedulerDivision – Magellan Greyabbey
Department Name: Production Planning
Reporting To:Master Production SchedulerPurpose of Position: The Senior Production Scheduler, reporting directly to the Master Production Scheduler,is responsible for maintaining and updating the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for all machines and shared resource to ensure on time delivery of product to support the sales orderbook
The Senior Production Schedulerwill be required to monitor, analyse and report OTFG performance and apply RCCA analysis around improvement
The Senior Production Scheduler is expected to play a key part in providing the data/detail to the Production Scheduling Team, documenting and supporting burn-down and recovery plans, and further contributing to company goals and targets on Start-on-Time, On-Time Completion and lead-time analysis.
The Senior Production Scheduler will be expected to attend meetings, reviews and discussions where applicable, communicating their findings within the above mentioned roles & responsibilities to the necessary teams.
Provide reports, KPI’s and information that complies with all company and departmental policy and procedures (MOS) supporting all departments, managers and teams that have an interest in Production Controlleractivities
In time, they should also be able to proficiently manage the dept. in the absence of the Master Production Scheduler, Chair Planning Meetings, support MOS audits and be involved with the development of the Production Scheduler

Competencies
Good understanding of Production Processes and various methods.
Ability to communicate and goodtime management skills
Competent I.T. skills and understanding of Windows based software.
Evaluates performance and takes responsibility in effectiveness
Good interpersonal and interdepartmental communication skills. /
Position Specific Skills
Understanding of Production Schedules and Drumbeat ReportsUnderstanding ofCapacity Planning, with a basic awareness of finite & Infinite systems and operations
Ability to create and read reports, with the ability to provide andsupport any required analysis
Must have the ability to work to timescales and deliver results relating to the above /

Combination of office based and shop floor activities to achieve weekly/monthly/annual Goals, Targets & Objectives______
