PDD Coordinators

I have located overhead #35. Now Mrs. Guerrero is super happy! Ms. Weger is now searching for a sowa remote control she checked out from the library. If anyone is in possession of SOWA #19 Remote, Please return to Ms. Weger in Room 3 or to me in the library.

Please people, if library equipment is not checked out to you, don’t take it from whom ever checked it out without that person’s permission. It is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure that checked out equipment stays with him/her. I tell you, it is no fun walking to every classroom looking for missing library equipment. The missing remote probably just got lost between two teachers sharing it. Please take the time to look in your classrooms to see if you can find the Sowa remote. We only have two remotes and 5 Sowa TV’s which operates in Chinese and only with the Sowa remote. Thank you again for your attention. And a Happy Halloween to you! MR. DAN LEON GUERRERO

So far 76 people will be attending this year’s Christmas Party. If I missed you, please leave me a note stating you would want to attend. Once this number is submitted to Michelle Perez (Top-of-The-Reef), the school is obligated to pay for the number of people attending. Our Christmas party is scheduled for:12/19/08, Top-Of-The-Reef, 6pm-11pm, Price: Depends on Fund Raising Success. Current Catalog Orders are due on Oct. 20th. Thanks to all who supported the current catalog fundraiser. Proceeds raised - $450.00! This brings the ticket price down to $20.00 per person for our Christmas Party. Next goal – DJ ($350.00) and prizes. See Mike Gogo, Lorna Warren, or Bobbie Martinez if you would like to purchase an early ticket (Tickets available by Friday).

Students and Teachers

According to the Student Handbook pg. 21 “Admit Slips – Every student who is absent must obtain an admit slip from his/her homebase teacher upon returning to school. It is the student’s responsibility to submit a valid parent note to excuse the absence and have each teacher sign the admit slip. The last period teacher collects the admit slips and forwards to the PPO office.”

1) Present a note to the home base teacher explaining absence(s) from school. Obtain an admit slip from the homebase teacher and show it to your teachers whose class(es) you missed. If you were absent in some periods because your parent(s) or guardian(s) took you off the school campus for cause (e.g. dental, doctors, court, etc.) then show your off campus pass to your homebase teacher. He/She will issue you an admit slip for periods missing. The note must be written by the parent/guardian, a doctor, or a school administrator. Absence(s) for three or more consecutive days because of illness requires a doctor’s certification. Students absent for three or more consecutive days, excused or unexcused, must obtain an admit slip from the nurse’s office.
