The new paraprofessional application is up and running on STAR at http://www.cobbk12.org/hr/employment/ . Just a reminder: When you complete an EAF for a paraprofessional, be sure to select Paraprofessional in the Category drop down box not Classified.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

HR Training for Principals/Supervisors

Human Resources will be providing training to all principals the afternoon of the Tues., Oct. 23 and Thurs., Oct. 25 level meetings. Training will also be provided to all Central Office administrators on Mon., Oct. 22. Training will cover implementation of the newly revised G Policies, the documentation of employees, and other HR issues directly related to principals/supervisors.

Administrative Recommendations for the 2008 – 2009 School Year

Subject: Your Administrative Recommendations for the 2008 – 2009 School Year

Once again this year, we need your help in identifying those people in our district, and any you may know from outside our district, whom you think are ready for promotion from:

·  the classroom into administration,

·  assistant administrator to assistant principal, or

·  assistant principal to principal.

Please use the online submission form under Leadership Management on P.A.S.S. to recommend those people you feel should be considered for promotion for the upcoming school year only, 2008–2009. The online submission form will be available from October 12 – October 22, 2007. We need this information from you no later than Monday, October 22, 2007.

This process is confidential. Our office will not share your recommendations or your comments with these individuals; therefore, your candor will be greatly appreciated. As we have done in the past, we will only discuss your input with the area assistant superintendents and the superintendent’s senior cabinet.
