How to Enter Your Courses intoMyEdPlan

For the C20 Ed Plan Assignment

Once you havecompletely filled out your education plan form, your next step is to enter the courses you selected for the two terms directly into MyEdPlan—SMC’snew online student educational planner.For the purpose of your Counseling 20 assignment, entering courses into MyEdPlan is fairly simple. Just follow these steps:

  • Login to MyEdPlanat
  • Click the “Create Ed Plan” buttonto start
  • You will be asked to sign the disclaimer, then given a brief introduction. After, click the “Next” button
  • Then, answer the questions related to your education goals (Step1-7). Answer the questions based on the education goal you selected for your Counseling 20 assignment (e.g., transfer to UC/CSU without associate degree).
  • Select theCURRENT SEMESTERas the semester you are planning to start (Step 3).

Once you are done answeringquestions in Step 1-7 above, you are ready to enter your courses into MyEdPlan. If you would like to view a short video of how to do this, you will find it here;

  • You will enter your courses using the “Course Search/Elective” tab. Click this tab.
  • Select the subject of your class under the “Subject” menu. You will then see all courses currently taught at SMC in this subject.
  • Scroll to your desired course and click the “Add to Plan” button.
  • Select your “Planned Semester” from the drop down menu and then click the“Add Class to Plan” button.
  • Repeat the above steps until you are done entering your courses.
  • Lastly, print your ed plan by clicking the “Print Plan” button. If you need instructions on how to print it, you may watch a short video of the process here.

  • Lastly, attach your printout to your Counseling 20 Ed Plan assignment and turn it in to your instructor.

  • You may continue to use MyEdPlan anytime you want using the URL above, or directly through Corsair Connect. (
  • You can edit your ed plan anytime, or may create a new plan if your education goals change, or for a different major.
