Application for admission procedure
IMPORTANT:
Deadlines for the submission of the admission application forms / First academic term (From June to October) - May 1, 2009
Second academic term (From November to March) - Oct. 1, 2009
Please note: Applications received after the deadlines will not be accepted for the requested term. However, should you agree, they will be taken into consideration for the next term or academic year.
Step 1 / The exchange student-applicant:
- Selects the course program where s/he wishes to apply for admission.
- Finds out if there are any subjects that s/he wishes to take at SMU.
Step 2 / The person responsible at the sending university must send an e-mail to the following address: International Relations and Coordinating Office,
attaching:
- completed application form
- Scanned copy of the academic record
- the academic agreement indicating the course the exchange student wishes to study (provisional agreement subject to changes during your stay)
Step 3 /
- The Vice President (directly in charge of International Relation Programs) of Saint Mary’s University will forward the letter of admission to the person responsible at the sending (home) university.
- Upon receipt of the above letter, the person in charge at the sending University sends St. Mary’s University a dossier including these documents:
- Photocopy of the student’s passport
- Application form (the same form as completed in step 2)
- Photocopy of medical insurance policy covering entire duration of the study
- Photocopy of the student’s enrolment at the home university
- Photocopy of academic record

Step 4 / IMPORTANT: Once the student is at St. Mary’s University , he/she must complete:
- The registration form and hand it to the Course Program Academic Dean
- The student details form and hands it to the University Registrar for documentation
- Enrolment form, specifying the subjects to be enrolled. Take note that the exchange student is guided/instructed by the Academic Deans (the student must also be enrolled at his/her home university).
