THE ROLE OF THE DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATOR

The Development Administrator is expected to assist the Group and the Development Department to achieve the Corporate and Departmental objectives and business plan targets by providing a high quality administrative service to ensure the smooth running of the department.

This post will be working on Newydd stock and with Newydd tenants but the contract of employment will be with the parent company, The Cadarn Housing Group.

The Group has a system of appraisal and support that will give staff a regular opportunity to discuss performance and priorities with their line manager. These support sessions will also be the opportunity to agree specific tasks and responsibilities in response to the Group’s objectives and priorities at the time.

The Development Administrator will report to the Development Manager and will work as part of the Development Team. The Company structure is also attached.

THE AREAS OF WORK

This post is based in the Cardiff Office at 5 Village Way, Tongwynlais, Cardiff, CF15 7NE.

SALARY AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary

The Group operates a market rate system and the salary range for this post is £20,169 - £21,229. The Group’s normal policy is to appoint new employees at the starting point of the range.

After one year of service subject to satisfactory performance your salary will increase to the middle of the range and after two years it will increase to the top of the range again subject to satisfactory performance. Salaries are reviewed annually.

Contract of employment

The post of Development Administrator is subject to a contract of employment between the Group and the post-holder. The contract of employment will set out the terms of appointment and must be read in conjunction with the Group's Staff Handbook.

Working hours

The working hours applicable to this post are 35 hours per week.

No Smoking Policy

All Group work places are ‘non smoking’ and smoking breaks are not permitted during work hours.

Welsh Language Scheme

The Group operates a Welsh Language Scheme and is committed to the equal treatment of English and Welsh when delivering its services to the public in Welsh.
