The Superintendent and/or Board members may report miscellaneous items for information purposes.
4. CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS
Background information on these items is provided to the Board prior to the meeting. Action is taken by a common motion without discussion unless discussion of an item(s) is requested by a Board member(s).
- Temporary County Certificates: Education Code Section 44332 authorizes the issuance of Temporary County Certificates for the purpose of authorizing salary payments to certificated employees whose credential applications are being processed. (Tony Apolloni, Deputy Superintendent)
- Approval of Resolution 2013-28: Board Member Compensation. Napa County Board of Education Bylaw 9250(a) provides for compensation to its Board members for attending meetings. The Bylaw further provides for compensation to members who miss meetings of the Board while performing designated services for the county or absent because of illness, jury duty or a hardship deemed acceptable by the Board. - Adoption of Expenditure Plan for Common Core State Standards Implementation Funding: The Board will be asked to adopt the Expenditure Plan for Common Core State Standards Implementation Funding. (Josh Schultz, Chief Business Official)
- Approval of NCOE Board of Trustee Summary: The Board will be asked to approve an NCOE Board Trustee Summary on the Role of the Napa County Board of Education to be used on NCOE’s website and certain printed media. (Janna Waldinger, Board Trustee)

A. Discussion, Review, and Direction Regarding: Possible motion of support of state and federal legislative updates and positions on legislation. (Ken Slavens, Board Trustee)
