Step 1: Admissions & Pre-Advising

Complete LSC application.

  • Click on option 1:Apply for Admission

Meningitis Vaccination:

  • Go to:
  • On the right hand box marked “Conscientious Objection” click on the form link.

Visit with your High School Counselor to determine course(s) selection and eligibility.

See the steps that you need to complete in your myLoneStar dashboard on the Applicant tab.

Submit a FERPA (Family Educational Rights Privacy Act) formto grant access to student records to a parent/guardian.

Step 2: Testing/Placement

Complete a Pre-Assessment Activity if you need to take the TSI; visit your dashboard on the myLoneStar Student Portal

Students may be exempt from testing if they have the required test scores from the SAT or ACT.

  • Provide a printout (must include your full name) of your scores to LSC-Admissions or your DC advisor.

If required, complete placement testing; get a test ticket from our admissions office prior to testing.

Step 3: Registering & Dropping classes

High School Students: Visit with your High School Counselor to register for your course(s).

For students 17 years of age or less you must complete a Parental Consent and Waiver Form signed by your parents before enrolling into any college courses.

To DROP a class, you MUST see your high school counselor to complete and submit a drop form.

Step 4: Pay your tuition

Pay Through Your High School:

  • Submit your Dual Credit/Exceptional Admission Couse Approval Form to your high school counselorwith check/money order attached (LSC cannot accept cash, and cannot be responsible for cash attached to registration forms.)

To Pay Online:

  • Go tolonestar.edu; click onmyLoneStarand login. At the top left of the screen, click on the Student tab.
  • Mid-page, find the Student Center (Quick View) pane. You should see a list of classes and the amount due.
  • Click on the Pay Now link.

To Pay On Campus:

  • Visit the Bursar’s/Cashier Office at LSC-Montgomery (Building E).
