Sexual Harassment and Title IX – you may take this through the AgCenter Moodle site (directions below), or through the LSU A&M web site. In addition to this training, you are also responsible for knowing the material in the AgCenter’s Title IX and Sexual Harassment Training Supplement, which can be accessed by selecting:AgCenter Supplemental Info. The supplement helps fill gaps in the online training. For the AgCenter, it is also important to know how Title IX and sexual harassment impact us as we work with clientele, volunteers, and 4H youth and parents.
Regarding the Ethics and Sexual Harassment Awareness and Prevention Education, the law places the burden on the employee to complete the annual education. If an employee doesn’t complete the programs, the violation of law is on the employee’s part, which may result in suspension, dismissal, and/or fines.
To clarify, if you have already taken the Ethics course, during calendar year 2015, through the LSU A & M website or the Louisiana Board of Ethics website, then you do not have to take the class again in AgCenter Moodle. Your participation was recorded by the websites. If you have already taken the Sexual Harassment Awareness and Prevention course, during calendar year 2015, through the LSU A & M website, then you need only review the AgCenter supplemental information accessible through the link:AgCenter Supplemental Info.
It is not necessary to print a certificate or forward any completion details to HRM. Training is tracked through the electronic sites. Unit heads are asked to emphasize the importance of reviewing and understanding the AgCenter supplemental information.
