Restorative justice is a way of responding to crime that focuses on healing the harm to the victim, holding the offender accountable, and involving the community of people affected by the crime, to the extent possible, in fashioning a response. As restorative justice processes gains popularity in Missouri, there is growing demand for mediators trained in victim-offender dialogue. The most experienced practitioners and trainers in Missouri will conduct this training: Charlene Berquist, Heather Blades, Kathleen Bird, Sandy Gamet, Diane Kyser, Paul Ladehoff and a host of experienced role-play coaches.
Prerequisites: a minimum of 20 hours of mediation training and experience with facilitative and/or transformative techniques.

Accommodations: You must make your own lodging arrangements, if needed.
Dormitory facilities are available for lodging at the rate of $50 per night single or $27.00 per night double. If you wish to stay in the University dormitories, see the MU Dorm Lodging brochure.
