2TTC Website purpose

The purpose of this website is to become the central information point about the project. It is also supposed to become the common dissemination tool and channel for the consortium.

An access for publication and edition has been set up for UN-LINA (project coordinator), TILDE (dissemination responsible) and EURINNOV (AFL and S&T manager).

The website is online and operational since March 24th, 2010 at .

3Website structure description

3.1Home

It’s the first display of the website for new visitors. It shortly presents the project and the last news and events related to the project, i.e. last/next conference where the TTC project will be presented or where work results will be presented.

3.2About TTC

This item contains 5 sub sections:

-“TTC in a few words”, gather main facts about the project;

-“TTC partnership in a nutshell”, presents each partner and its contribution;

-“Concept and Objectives”, explain the goals of the collaboration and the initial context of the project;

-“Workplan”, explicates the work breakdown structure chosen by the partners to overpass technical difficulties and achieve TTC goals along with a planning;

-“Expected impacts”, describes the actual outcomes of the project for translators and localization industry.

3.3Consortium

This section presents each partners, globally (capacities, competencies) and its role within the TTC project.

3.4News and Events

The purpose of this section is to present every TTC related news or events such as conferences or any particular progress or result we would like to present.

3.5Releases

This part aims at publishing public deliverables and milestone of the TTC project, articles abstract related to the project, press releases...

3.6Extranet

This item is a direct link to the collaborative platform, central information point for the consortium to share documents for example.

3.7Contact

This is a contact form for visitors’ questions and demand for information and update.

5Collaborative platform

5.1Platform features

Based on the open source software eGroupWare, the goal of this platform is to become the central point for internal communications and document sharing among the consortium.

Each of the researchers dispose of his/her own access to the platform according to his/her privileges that are linked to partner participation in WP.

The collaborative platform is online and fully set up since April 28th, 2010 at extranet.ttc-project.eu .

The platform consists mainly in 4 plugins:

-Project Manager, that allows participants to follow up project progress with respect to planned work;

-Calendar, is a shared and collaborative schedule which can be use for meeting purpose and deliverable reminder;

-Adressbook, to improve communications between the participant by sharing phone number for example;

-File manager, to centralize every document about the project, deliverables, consortium agreement, presentation made for meeting...
