III. Major Course Requirements and Prerequisites
1. PSYC 1101 is a prerequisite for all other psychology courses.
2. PSYC 1101, BIOL 1103-1103L and STAT 2000 (or their equivalents) are prerequisites for PSYC 3980 (Research Design). You must earn at least a C in each of these courses, and you must have at least a 2.5 average for the three.
3. The methods courses (PSYC 3980, Research Design and PSYC 3990, Research Analysis) are required for all core courses. PSYC 3990 may be taken as a co-requisite with one core course.
4. Three core courses: one from Group A, one from Group B, and one from either Group A or Group B (see major check sheet).
5. Prerequisites are mandatory. If you discover that you are in a course without its prerequisites, you must drop or withdraw from the course. If you do not, you will not receive credit towards the major for that course.
IV. Advanced Lab/Seminar Requirement
1. One course is required. You may choose to take PSYC 4300 or a PSYC 5000-level seminar course.
V. Elective Hours
1. Three hours of upper-level (3000-level or higher) psychology electives are required.
