WESLEY LIONS GYMNASTICS
Wesley Lions Gymnastics offers classes to Wesley students, family and friends and the widercommunity. These classes are a great opportunity for students to learn a range of movement patterns in a safe and controlled environment. We havehighly qualified coaches and a great coach to student ratio.
Classes range from beginner/recreational to advanced/competitive in both men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics and gymnastics for all. All classes teach basic to complex movement patterns, with emphasis on spatial and body awareness allowing children to develop confidence and their ability to control their bodies while enhancing coordination, strength and flexibility.
The gymnasium at Wesley College, St Kilda Road is a fantastic training venue. It is fully equippedwith a high standard of apparatus, including a sprung floor, in-ground trampoline, and foam pit as well as numerous skill/drill progression devices.

General information
- Toilets are located downstairs, along the corridor and in the automatic doors at the far end of the pool. Students must wear shoes when going to the toilet. It is the club’s policy to send gymnasts to the toilet in pairs. We require parents of young children (prep age) to be available during the class to accompany them to the toilet, or arrange for another parent to do so
- There is a water fountain in the foyer for your convenience. Children are encouraged to bring their own drink bottles; these should be kept on the shelves near the beams
- There is a lost property tub kept at the back of the spectator area, please check it regularly as it is cleared out at the end of each term
- Parents are not allowed in the main gym, but are welcome to watch from the foyer area. If parents need to speak to a coach, please ask for them in the office or speak to them before or after class. Do not walk through the gym
- Gymnasts are to arrive 5 minutes before his/her scheduled class time so there is no chance of them being late. If your child misses warm up stretches they may not be permitted to join in the session. This is for safety reasons as stretches are a crucial part of the class
- Parking and Gym location
Car parks are accessible from the Moubray Street or Punt Road gates. Please note: Onsite parking before 5.00pm is restricted and discouraged due to limited parking availability and traffic congestion problems.
