IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read these instructions carefully before using the Mushroom Maker for the first time.
- When you plug in the Mushroom Maker, make sure that the voltage and frequency of your power source are the same as those on the nameplate of the appliance.
- Do not leave the device unattended while you are using it. Remember that it can become very hot. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or cooking unit in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.
- Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliances to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments, not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer, may cause hazards.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot substances.
- To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
16. Do not use appliance other than for its intended use.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
18. If the external flexible cable or cord of this appliance is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is for household use only. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over a long cord. An extension cord may be used with care, however, the marked electrical rating should be at least as great as the electrical rating of this appliance. The extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the counter or tabletop where it can be pulled by children or tripped over.
DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY LIQUID!
HOW TO MAKE MUSHROOMS
1. When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the platens with a damp cloth and dry with cloth, tissue etc. Then smear the platen with butter, margarine or cooking fat.
2. Fit the plug into the wall socket. There are two lamps GREEN: Lights on while appliance is heating and RED: When the appliance is ready.
3. Close the Mushroom Maker.
4. When the Mushroom Maker is ready after about 5 minutes the red light will come on.
5. Fully open the Mushroom Maker and fill dough in the bottom recesses of the Mushroom Maker. (Refer to recipes for preparing the dough).
6. Close the cover. Your mushrooms will be toasted in 1-3 minutes to suit your taste.
7. Open the Mushroom Maker and remove baked mushrooms using plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal knife as this may damage the non-stick coating.
8. Close the lid to preserve the heat until ready to bake the next mushrooms.
9. Allow the mushrooms to cool, then fill and put the halves together.
HINTS FOR BEST RESULTS
1. Always preheat before use. Plug cord into power outlet while preparing the fillings.
2. Flavored butters may also be used.
3. Recipe for the dough for reference
Ingredients: 400g flour
100g sugar
250g margarine
2 eggs
1/4 tsp of baking soda
Vanilla powder
4. Prepare: 1) Separate the egg yolks
2) Stir sugar, vanilla and egg yolks
3) Mix the margarine and the flour and knead thoroughly
4) Beat the baking soda with the egg white until stiff
5) Add the sugar and egg mixture to the dough and continue
kneading, then add the stiff egg white
You can fill the mushrooms with different fillings e.g. jam, cream, nougat cream, sweet curd, apple puree, vanilla cream, honey, pudding, small berries, caramel, cream cheese, etc. Refine the filling with almonds and raisins.
CLEANING
1. After use and before cleaning, remove plug, wait for Mushroom Maker to cool down.
2. Wipe the inside and the edges of the platen with kitchen roil, absorbent paper toweling or a soft cloth.
3. Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the platen and wipe off after 5 minutes when the filling is softened.
4. Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or grease entering the cooling slots.
5. Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
6. Never immerse in water or rinse the appliance under running water.

2 ½-3 ст муки
1 ст сахарной пудры
230 г маргарина
3 желтка
1 ст л майонеза
1 ч л соды
1 ст л уксуса
ванилин по вкусу
Желтки растереть с сахарной пудрой и ванилином. Соду погасить уксусом и добавить к желткам. Размягчённый маргарин помешать с майонезом. Добавить муку и замесить тесто. Потом соединить растёртые желтки с мукой и маргарином и тшательно всё вымесить.
Поставить вымешеное тесто в холодильник на 30-60 минут. Затем, используйте измерительную чайную ложку (2 tsp) для того чтобы сделать шарики.

2 ст муки
½ ст сахара
250 г маргарина
2 яйца
¼ ч л соды
ванилин по вкусу
Отделить желтки от белков. Желтки растереть с сахаром и ванилином. Маргарин смешать с мукой и замесить тесто. Белки взбить с содой до пены. Растёртые желтки с сахаром и ванилином добавить в тесто и хорошо вымесить. Затем добавить белки. Поставить вымешеное тесто в холодильник на 30-60 минут .
