QUALIFICATIONS / Degree in business/science related subject;
Educated to GCSE 'A' level standard or equivalent;
GCSE or equivalent minimum in mathematics and English language. / Application
Certificates
EXPERIENCE / 3 to 6 years experience in sales account management within the chemical and/or oils based industry;
Some experience in marketing projects management;
Some experience in business administration, including database management;
Good experience in dealing with people/ business stakeholders ranging from senior management, customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities. / Experience relating to technical aspects of products and services. / Application support

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES / Ability to identify and understand customer needs and use this knowledge to convert prospect to business within a technical environment;
Ability to plan workload according to sales targets within a large geographical area;
Possess general knowledge of the oils, additives or chemicals industry;
Understanding of the end use of oils and additives within industrial processes;
Understanding of the interface between sales and profit and loss margin;
Ability to maintain an up to date knowledge of the product area and customer base within a dynamic industry subject to significant regulatory control;
Excellent reporting skills. Ability to clearly understand sales figures and reasoning behind them;
A good attention to detail;
Ability to respond quickly and accurately;
Ability to develop relevant strategy with customers to ensure growth and account development;
Good working knowledge of MS office applications, including experience in powerpoint presentation development and delivery; and development and use of Excel spreadsheets;
Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and data quickly and translate into the working and market environment;
Excellent spoken and written skills;
Ability to recognise sales opportunities and act effectively to increase business;
